PAAL 2012

The PAAL Conference is a forum for academic exchanges among scholars and practitioners in applied linguistics and related areas. The conference provides a venue for the dissemination of current research on a wide variety of issues concerning Asia and beyond. This year, the conference is jointly organized by PAAL, International Symposium of Teaching English at Tertiary Level, and is co-sponsored by Cross-Cultural Distance Learning Research Center, Waseda University.

The 17th PAAL Conference is held in Wenjin Hotel, Beijing, China from Tuesday, 21st to Thursday, 23rd of August, 2012. Beijing, the heart of China, has been the political, economic, cultural and academic center of China over 800 years from Yuan Dynasty. Beijing is one of the most visited cities in the world. Every year millions of visitors flocks to Beijing to see the numerous historical builidings: Forbidden City, Great Wall and Tianenmen Square.
